The Links at South Beach gets set to open it's doors.

the development which is adjacent to the Mermaid car parking area is set to open in the coming days with Greggs latest outlet being first to welcome it's first customers.

North East, retail real estate consultancy @retail, is currently taking inquiries from additional potential tenants who are hoping to be part of Blagdon Estate and Kingsmead Developments’ project, which will also include a co-op convenience store in the largest of the one-space units of 3,760 square meters. ft. @retail will also soon be confirming details of a bistro bar and events business that will be moving into Unit 1a of the new Coastal Center. Overall, the plans envisage creating around 175 jobs.

 

Phase Two is currently in the planning stage and is expected to include a hotel and food led pub.

Greggs is set to be followed by a Co-op supermarket which will occupy the largest unit on the development.  Other businesses which have so far taken units include an Italian coffee house chain and a hair salon.  A bistro bar and events shop are also expected to follow.

A listed gate post which was part of Link House which once stood on the site has been restored and re-sited on the development and includes signage which details the history of the site.
