The relief road article is infuriating to read! it's been promised for years and nothing ever happens. In my opinion it never will we're just a small northern town that no government gives a stuff about and we're the poor relation to towns like Alnwick and Morpeth so NCCC couldn't care less either.
It will never happen
If this was Alnwick we wouldn't be waiting thirty years for a road. Always the way with Blyth.
I think the time is coming where the amount of new housing they've built means they wont have any choice but to add a new route in and out of Blyth. Otherwise they will struggle to get planning for more. This can't go on for ever or people will just refuse to buy new housing they can't access.
I dont even think they will build the new railway now I dont believe anything they say.
