Just nice to see people talking about Blyth, lived there for many years, I would imagine for us oldies seeing the old places go is hard, got to go with change. They can’t change my memories.
Most towns have a premier Inn so seems a good place to put one. I stayed in one in paisley last week and the view was the back end of a car park so this view will be decent.
Can't get parked there as it is so this is a stupid idea. How will they fill a hotel in blyth? is the one on the harbour ever full? More traffic but no new roads nah just stupid.
I think it's a great idea to be honest. I can't really see a link between building shops etc here affecting the town centre. I mean a bike hire or surf board hire business will never work in the centre of Blyth but would be great right on the beach front.
Also, a family pub will be great after a day on the beach to take the kids for a burger or something. A hotel will bring people to blyth, that can only be a good thing. I'd rather their impression of the town was from the beach instead of the disgrace we now have for a town centre.

They need to build shops in the town centre not there. And are they not putting a hotel where the bus station is? Not needed.

Personally I think any investment into the area is welcome the place is a disgrace.
